We know farmland is vital for the economy and our community. Developers are paving 300+ acres of farmland daily, risking local food security.
I will fight to protect the land on which farmers work so hard to feed us.
Farmland feeds us all.
Farming is the backbone of Grey and Bruce counties and crucial to the health of all Ontarians–especially in these uncertain times. Yet we are losing almost 400 acres of farmland daily in Ontario to reckless growth and big city sprawl. Doug Ford's policies prioritize paving paradise for corporate developers' profits, and we are still nowhere near affordable homes for regular Ontarians. We deserve better than this.
There's a better way forward. A Greener way forward.
The Green Party of Ontario wants to protect our family farms and farmland by stopping the sprawl. Instead of bulldozing the land on which farmers work so hard to feed us, let's build community-attainable homes within existing urban boundaries.
